NYC- New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has continued to work hard on his physique so that he can continue to do an amazing job of combating the Coronavirus and Covid-19. On March 16th, the Mayor got pumped in a workout at his gym in Brooklyn even as he was warning everyone in the city to shelter in place.

Then, just last week, on April 25th, de Blasio was chauffeured 11 miles from Manhattan to Prospect Park in Brooklyn to power walk with his wife in the midst of the worst pandemic to hit NYC in over a century and against his own stay-at-home order. The Mayor reminded citizens that he is, in fact, ‘a very important person’ and that he ‘has to be healthy in order to govern effectively’. “I have to hit my glutes hard on leg day, so we all piled in 4 vehicles and traveled here to Brooklyn where the air is the best. It’s kind of like the water in the pizza in New York, it makes all the difference!” When approached by a concerned citizen armed with a cell phone camera and questions of ‘how can you be so selfish?’ the buff 6’ 5” leader begged the man to, “Give it a break.” When the man did not relent de Blasio chided, “Get bent, helmet!” The mayor later retracted that attack in a tweet that excused his behavior, “It must have been the steroids, I’m on a cycle prescribed by my doctor.”

Now that some states are opening up, de Blasio plans on flying with his entire staff to Venice Beach, CA to “pump iron” with fitness nut friends in the Eureka state. “Well, they are going to lift while I wear cool workout gear and work on my tan. I have to be at my best in order to do my job effectively.”
