Washington, D.C. Facing backlash over his apparently hypocritical stance on governing through executive order, the Harris Administration has called for the rebranding of the offending orders. All official White House correspondence will now refer to the singular decrees of the executive office as “Unanimous Consent Decrees.”  “This should really clear things up,” said White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield. “This new branding represents a far more accurate description of what’s going on here. The previous administration issued executive orders as a way of circumventing the legislative process to push forth policies that they knew they wouldn’t be able to get through the Congress. The UCDs being signed by Acting President Biden reflect the agreed will of the American People.”

“Wait, what?” responded House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, when asked for comment.
