Palm Beach, FL – In a shocking turn of events, Donald J. Trump, the Republican Candidate for US President has declined to cram his party’s preferred policy position onto everyone in the United States. “My view is now that we have abortion where everybody wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation or perhaps both. And whatever they decide must be the law of the land,” Trump said in a shocking misunderstanding of how things are done around here.

“Listen,” said DNC Constitutional Consultant Gregory Adams, “if our Founding Father’s wanted the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, to be reserved to the States respectively, or to the people, they would have explicitly said so in the Constitution.”

This move has confused international leaders as well. “Wait, what?”said  Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of Brazil. “That doesn’t make any sense. If you don’t just impose your will on the people regardless of their support, what’s the point of even being a president?”
