Washington, D.C. – With increased attacks on US troops and interests in the Middle East, United States Senator Lindsey Graham (R- SC) has suggested that we destabilize the existing government in Iran, and replace it with a regime more friendly to the United States. “This is win-win,” said Graham, who further explained, “With the Mullahs out of power, we’ll be able to install a friendly regime who will be easier to work with on geopolitical matters. In fact, the people of Iran will probably welcome us as liberators after the last forty years of Islamic Tyranny.”

When pressed on the failure of this exact policy in Iraq and Afghanistan, Graham was quick to the defense. “That wasn’t true regime change,” said the Senator. “True Regime change has never been tried.” This view was supported by former Secretary of State John Bolton, who added “If we can only bomb them hard enough, we will win the hearts and minds of the Iranian People. We have just never fully committed to the process. This time the outcome will be different.”
