Menlo Park, CA – In an effort to regain some semblance of decorum, Facebook has begun a test implementation of a new STFU button on posts. When selected, the new “roll eyes” emoji will also mute any vitriolic political word vomit spewed out by your selected friend or loved one.

“Many people have asked that we start policing content like Twitter does. Here at Facebook, we believe in putting that power in the hands of the users.” Said Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. When asked if this would lead to biased political censorship, Zuckerberg brushed off the idea. “The beauty of this system is that it works equally well at ensuring that your Bernie Bro co-worker shuts the F*** up, as it does making your Trump-or-Die uncle shut the F*** up.
